[Werkeltisch] #117 – Summer Coffee Lovers BlogHop #‎summerclh‬

I stumbled across a card last time over at Jessa’s blog. There she mentioned a blog hop called „summer coffee lovers bloghop“. It works like a „blogparade“ (for my german readers) – you get a theme and you make a card with it! In this case, you should use stamps, sentiments or dies that are coffee-themed. Okay, tea and cocoa are fine too. ;)
Well, I was lucky. I made a card last weekend and it perfectly matches the theme! Funny thing is that I did not even know about this blog hop. I just wanted to give it to a friend as some sort of invitation because I did not see her for some time.

I’ve learned the background technique from Debby Hughes and I based the card design on one of her card for OnlineCardClasses. It’s so easy! I was really surprised and the possibilities are endless! :D

Was meint ihr? <3 And now – the star of this card. The coffee mug. Isn’t it cute? It’s from the „coffee first“ stamp set by Create a Smile. I colored it with copic markers and coated it with some glitter and Ranger Glossy Accents to give it some dimension.
The rest of this card is glued with some 3d foam tape. I also took some striped washi tape to bring in some more of the black – I did not like how the mug and sentiment looked so „harsh“.

So, what do you think? I really like the background of this card and will try to create some more of these. <3

  1. Tolle Karte, ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Kaffee und Aquarellfarben – was will man mehr.

Wow!

Also wer den Kaffee jetzt noch absagt, ne? :D

    Liebe Grüße
    Jessa

  3. I’m so glad you found this bloghop so that we can all see this beautiful card. Impeccable watercolored background. The bits of washi and the label and stamps really compliment this fabulous background well. So lovely.
